It is for me. I have never had so many problems with a iOS release. Even though i heard there were issues with other releases they never bothered me much. But 15 is a disaster. Ever since iOS 15.0 was released, until now (15.1.1) these issues persist. And i have been told many of these issues have not even been addressed in 15.2 RC2 either. Mind you i have changed to a new iPhone during the iOS15 period so i have had a clean install on a brand new phone.

1. Various Storage bugs and notifications about them that wont go away.
2. Album thumbnails in Photos app are blurry.
3. Apps lose internet connectivity randomly. Have to disable and re enable WIFI to get them to work again. (This one bothers me the most)

And many others i cant remember right now.

I thought these might have been problems on my previous phone so knowing i was going to get a new phone i didn't wont to go through the fuss of a total reset and install of iOS. But after these problems appeared on my new phone with a fresh release i verified that these are OS problems.

I haven’t had any big problems with iOS 15. The biggest bug I experience every day is when I transfer music from the phone to the HomePod mini and have to turn the screen off and on to unfreeze.

Overall, I like the new security and features.

No issues with iOS or iPadOS 15, and haven't experienced the couple of issues you've mentioned, very far from a "disaster."

The only issue I had was with how to regain “do not disturb” with focus, no other bugs/glitches, and I was going to wait upgrading my iPhone but then upgraded on day 2

Hasn't been much of a problem for me. Most bugs that I've noticed relate to Focus and Home.

It’s been mostly fine for me. The only issue I’ve had is with the sleep focus mode, but that could also be a WatchOS issue.

Overall, I like iOS 15. Sure there are bugs (e.g. cell service, Apple Music, CarPlay) but the feature sets (e.g. LiveText, Health, Focus, Message, notifications) outweight the bugs.

Focus not working properly.
Not getting Live location updates in Find My (new bug with 15.1)

Yeah pretty much the only two features I had interest in, in iOS 15, are not working so I’d personally call it a bust.

Also:
Poor Wi-Fi connection with a Wi-Fi 6 router.
Notification Center with large gaps and overlapping.
Blurry photo thumbnails.
Various AirPlay issues.
There’s more I can’t think of right at the moment.

I don’t know that I would call it a disaster, but it’s definitely not good enough for me to put on my main phone. I have notification issues, focus issues, wifi issues, keyboard issues… The list goes on.

just minor glitches, as to be expected; but overall a positive experience

As to be expected? We’re coming up on 15.2 public release soon. Many of these bugs should no longer exist.

getting calls and texts in other devices has been screwed up in IOS 15.

i. I have a iPhone 11 and M1 iPad Pro 11 inch (wifi only model). 9 out of 10 times I don't receive the iPhone calls in iPad or its comes after 20 seconds leaving little time to attend or decline

ii. Messages received and also read in iPhone shows ups late in iPad as unread. Its becoming annoying to mark as read the same message twice.

Every year is the same thing. Initial public release in September. Very buggy. Improves somewhat over the months. Some bugs squashed (mainly the ones that the tech media make a big stink about), but often new ones are introduced. Then comes the first beta of new software in June. This is also around the time when we finally see the software begin to stabilize. Then we repeat this buggy nonsense again in September.

Basically, we’re getting about three months (one quarter) of a stable software every year.

But in reality most will still be around. Some will be fixed and other things will break.
