Just curious, what made you switch from 16 to 16e?

Do you notice better battery life on the 16e?

I’m still deciding between the two. Thanks.
I had the iPhone 16 since launch, and from the start I was generally annoyed by the camera button. I thought it was a mistake to add such a button when you have many other options to access your camera quickly - for example, a simple swipe on the lock screen, or just via the Action Button. In addition, I use a case for my iPhone, and although many have gradually added the camera button, there were not many good options for a case WITHOUT a cut out, which also annoyed me, since the phone suddenly wasn't "nice" to hold (with a "cutout cover")

Could I have lived with Camera Control.. Yes, I could. But it's also part of the story that I like to try new phones, so after 6 months with the iPhone 16, it was also refreshing to try the newest model (16e)

Yes, I can definitely feel the difference in battery life. I only charge my iPhone 16e to 80% - and that's enough to get through a whole day. But the regular iPhone 16, I had to charge it a little extra in the evening, when I only charged it to 80%. So yes, I can feel the difference.

I am completely (read my post below) almost satisfied with the 16e, and I miss almost nothing about the regular 16.

There is one place where the iPhone 16e has disappointed. The range of Bluetooth. With all my previous iPhones, I have been able to leave my iPhone inside and work outside in the garden with my AirPods in my ears without any problems. I can't do that with my 16e. If I work in the front garden, I have to put the phone in a window facing the front garden to avoid dropouts. Before, I could leave my iPhone in the house and walk out to my car about 10-15 meters from my house, without dropouts.

Whether it is a software bug in the C1 chip, or the fact that it is not as powerful as in previous iPhones, I don't know. But it is clearly a disappointment, but not something I can't live with.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

I have owned most of the iPhones that have been on the market. Most recently an iPhone 15 Pro and an iPhone 16. The 15 Pro was sold due to poor battery life. The iPhone 16 is a good phone, but I find that calls are dropped all the time. I am strongly considering just buying an iPhone 16e. Mostly because of the battery life. For me it seems absolutely magical. Has anyone had any experience with the battery life and is the Iphone 16e good for everyday use?

Thanks.
If battery life is one of your priorities go for a PLUS model. Like the 16 PLUS.
I purchased a 14 PLUS 18 months ago and I am absolutely happy with it - especially with its fantastic battery Life....
and it comes NOT with the not_so_performant "new" C1-modem chip, but the good Qualcomm modem. instead ..

I've had no issues with the C1 personally. There have been a couple of anecdotal scenarios where my wife's phone (standard 15, Qualcomm X70) was unable to maintain a usable signal while I was - though my battery struggled during that time.

Hard to answer this for sure as I don't know if I have any use-cases in my day to day life that would match that distance. But anecdotally, I've noticed zero difference in my AirPod connection performance on the 16e.
