I pre-ordered an iPhone X with Tmobile, here is my question: is it A1865 or A1901? Cuz I'm planned to use it in China. It seems that A1901 doesn't support CDMA which means it might not work in China.

You need the Verizon model A1865 if you want to use CDMA. However, I just visited China and it appears there are GSM networks too. You would probably know better as I only spent time in Guangzhou.

they just don't work for 2G/3G on China's network, all model supports all carriers in China when you use 4G...
and, who is still using 2G/3G anyway?

T-Mobile and AT&T use the same model and the A1901 is GSM Only using Intel Modem chip. For a A1865, you would need a Sprint or Verizon Carrier unit or a SIM-Free that is not currently available in the USA.

More and more carriers have been dropping CDMA coverage areas and that should include parts of China.
