Is is possible to open mail messages with one click on a Powerbook G4?

Hello,

Is is possible to open my mail messages (using the Mail app) by just clicking once? It's possible on my Macbook 2008 model using Leopard but my Powerbook is using Tiger. I find it takes forever to open so many messages using two clicks.

Yes, at the bottom of Mail there is a splitter bar, just drag it up and you can see messages in the bottom pane with a single click.
