My Macbook is about 20 months old, has 433 cycles, and according to Coconut Battery had an original battery 4100 mAh.

Current battery capacity? 4208 mAh. Don't worry about cycling it.

Edit: I know this is for a Macbook and not a MBP, but I was browsing this forum and decided to post about my Macbook pre-Pro status.

Can Someone comment on mine (2010 13" MBP):

26 cycles, 1.5 months old, and 97% capacity.

Current Capacity - 5640mAh
Original Capacity - 5770mAh

Not a lot to say really - wait a year or two and see how it works out.

12 months 297 cycles still 93% and still easily get a full days run time out of it

dont worry about your battery just use your laptop

If it's showing more than 100%, you need to calibrate, as the reading is inaccurate.

ive calibrated twice and mine is still also more than original capacity.
the original capacity is only an estimate, it can always be a little more or less that that in reality. im one of the lucky ones.

How exactly did you calibrate?

Cycle count: 627
Condition: Replace Soon
:p

The laptop is a couple months over 4 years old. But the battery is about 2 years old, I'm guessing. Still getting a couple of hours out of it, but it no longer stays fully charged. It cycles between charging and charged when it gets to 100%. Not too worried about it, I just use the thing.

These things last forever

I have over 652 cycles and my battery is still holding 94% of it's capacity according to Coconut. It's the old removable type from the original alum unibody macbook (not pro).

Only on a mac related forum would people be concerned about using a laptop as it designed to be used (unplugged). You guys kill me sometimes :)

I do admit that I have OCD with many of my Apple products as well....

Seriously, don't sweat the cycles...

Battery LoadCycles: 1492
Age of your Mac: 21 months

Current capacity: 4127 mAh
Original capacity: 4600 mAh (91%)

I cycle mine multiple times per day in the course of normal use.

You guys have amazing battery health. I just got mine a few days ago, only have 5 cycles. But my health is dropping all the time, seems like I'm doing something wrong. I calibrated first day, then used it normally. When it was around 30 percent, I charged it, then repeated.

Lately I've been using it on the charger more often, yet the health dropped from 100 to 98 to 97. At this rate its on course to drop to like 70 by the end of the month lol

Any tips?

It's a "use it or lose it" situation with batteries. My first pre-unibody MBP battery was 11 months old with 17 cycles when I had to replace it. I changed my usage after that and the new battery was showing 97% after over 100 cycles when I sold the laptop a year later.

It's not a direct decline. As the link I posted in post #7 of this thread will tell you, your battery health varies both up and down over time. Read the link.
