My wife still has an iPhone 8 and it’s perfect, hell my mother has a 7 and it’s a great device.

Although I have an XS I am sure I would be perfectly fine with an iPhone 8. Sure Face ID is awesome but I could do without it. The screen size is fine in my opinion. I would probably just miss the camera.

its the last of the old style iPhones, I don't think 'crazy' has anything to do with it its a matter of preference and budget

Cool story.
Pixel, s9, note 9 were all sale flops.
S10 not doing any better.

Sales don’t matter right....enjoy your phone.

Cool story, choosing a phone by its sales. I hope you enjoy your Redme Note 7, the best selling phone in India

The Problem with the pixel 3, s9, and note 9, were lack of sales, hence the sales flop reference. Every phone you suggested had sales completely collapse after 1 or 2 months of sales, that’s quite a gift, intentional or not. The Pixel 3 was a complete disaster.

It’s disappointing that Redmi isn’t a premium smartphone, I guess I will just have to make due with my Xs Max.

Enjoy whatever phone your using.

the iPhone 8 takes great pictures in good lighting conditions. The low lighting condition is not a strong suite for any iphone even Xs. When taking pictures of kids, the odd of them being still are nill, unless they sleep, so if you worry about low light pictures of kids, I would get a dedicated camera as all phones will fail in that arena. The newer Pixel might be slightly better than iPhone but only for taking stills, forget low lighting videos or action pictures.

Not at all. iPhone 8 is still a great phone, but you need to think about iPhone XR before you trigger it

Two different phones really. If someone was interested in the iPhone 8, then I doubt the XR would be a consideration, it’s strictly because the technology is different via face ID versus touch ID, form factor, full display v.s bezeled Display, ect.

It’s funny isn’t it when people use outright sales to prove that somebody’s personal phone preference is somehow wrong lol. I doubt that person would agree the XR is better than the XS Max just because it sells a hell of a lot more for instance.

I bet if I walk up to a colleague at work this morning and tell them their Galaxy S10 didn’t sell as much as a certain model iPhone they wouldn’t give a toss either lol.
