Just trying to get an idea of what I should do on the 13th or even the entire presale week if needed. I did this once and it was a long time ago, so yeah, I don't remember. It was the pre-release of the 12 mini. There is a three hour time difference from where I am and California. (I also don't remember when in that week I ordered.)

I was talking to a friend from MR and they said I may not be able to pre-order at all. No, I didn't order from Apple the last time I got a new iPhone. I don't know if they were talking about Apple's website is going to be sold out or even if all the Phone companies won't have anymore until the official release.

Thank you in advance for the advice.

With AT&T I’ve preordered hours after release and still received it on launch day. Variables could change that though, based on their inventory and the specific model iPhone you preorder.

Thank you, maybe I'll update once I have a confirmation of my order.

I’m going to do what I did last year, order from T-Mobile right at 8am, because I’m upgrading through their JUMP program. I had zero issues last year and was able to order right away for release day delivery.

I'm ordering through my phone company as I have done before. I have never dealt with Apple when ordering my iPhones so I don't know how payment works with them.

Another factor is iPhone trade-in, if that is going to be part of your transaction. Apple or the carrier might be more generous than the other - and/or more trustworthy. A few years ago, Sprint (now subsumed into T-Mobile) flat out stole a perfectly fine iPhone trade-in by claiming it was defective in a way Sprint never explained. I’ve never had the problem when buying/trading in with Apple.

As for how payment works with Apple, go to the Apple home page and pretend to buy a current model. You’ll see that you will have the choice of paying full price or buying it on interest-free installments if you have or apply for an Apple credit card.

My work iPhone broke yesterday. I install solar panels & it took a little tumble off a roof. Heh heh heh 😬….But the timing is kinda perfect with the new iPhones being announced Monday. Just gotta decide btwn the iPhone 15 Pro Max or the new iPhone 16 Pro Max. If I go to the Verizon store and order thru them on Monday Sept 9th, when will it most likely arrive?

Apple Store, you can configure everything, verify your trade in and payment method and save it all before orders start. Login and complete it as soon as orders go live.

I'll have to order from Apple since, for prepaid, it can be significantly later before the carriers sell it for their prepaid customers. They prioritize their postpaid customers since they pay more for service.

I can’t drive because I’m an epileptic and it’s not fair to ask someone to rearrange their life to accommodate to mine. I’m just going to get up early.
