I was waiting for it.. but now looking at the specs it seems even "worst" than cheaper air (except for display)!

I have an 11" 128gb mid 2012 air and was looking to get a new one.. I want the retina so my choice would be between

256gb macbook
13" 128/256 mabcook pro retina ( i have a 128gb pny expansion card)

13" MBA just need a retina display. Would have been powerful and great screen.

I don't think it's worth it right now. 13" Pro seems like a much better deal.

This. The price of the new technology/design of the rMB and the sacrifices it makes just doesn't make it a good buy right now when compared to the rMBP. The same was true for the original MBA back in 2008.

I'm sure many people would be perfectly happy with the rMB despite its lack of ports and other sacrifices, but I just don't see it as being worth the extra cost right now. The price will come down for it just like the original MBA.

This laptop is very similar to the existing line, it's just smaller. However, I do love the space gray color because I would prefer to have a black MBA and it's the closest so far (besides the MB from 2008)

Smaller, less powerful, fewer ports, requires a dongle to use any of your existing peripherals.

But the screen looks really nice.

First of all I want something better than my mid 2012 MBA.
What I really need is: retina display and at least 256gb.

rMB seems to be a cheaper choice 1500€ vs 1700€ rMBP.

It's also true that if I need to plug an USB key or HDD I'd need an adapter, which I don't want to carry with me.
A bit upset about the camera but I don't really use it so it's not a big deal.

200€ less for a new design or 200€ more (if I choose to not use the 128gb pny) for power and "compatibility"?

Is not even beautiful to me. The black display doesn't match the other metal half, it sorta looks like a Panasonic now, and losing the lighted logo is like Mercedes dispensing with the very classic hood ornament.

No like.

I have to wait to see live before I'm sold on it's beauty...The Dell's xps 13 screen bezel is still the one to beat...

Looks like a Sony for some reason.

Don't understand this new model when all Apple has to do is bump the resolution and CPU to Broadwell on the Air while not sacrificing the ports.
