I am thoroughly impressed!

One has a screen the feels small, another one is too big and unwieldy , the middle one is just... riiiiight.

The 16in intel is too heavy for mobile use, but I love the screen size. It has a hot surface area when typing. Battery life is decent. Speakers are excellent!

The MBA air m1 is super light, and cool. Battery life is excellent but the screen is small at times. Speakers are good.

But after using the 16in for a few months, then using the MBA primarily until a few days ago, the m1 air had something missing from the things I liked about the 16in intel MBP.

14in MBP is way cooler than the intel, but slightly warmer than the air but still cool. Cool typing surface is something that I truly truly care about and wasn't willing to sacrifice after using the MBA for months. If this is one benefit of m1, sign me up apple! Battery life is good, not as great as the m1 air, but last a whole day at work. Screen is bright, I usually set screen brightness to 70% on the 14in! Unlike the air and the 16 in intel that I set to near max brightness. MBA sometimes I felt the screen wasn't as bright as I'd like. Size by side safari browsing is great on the 14! On the m1 air screen is cramp. The speakers sound loud and clear like a HomePod mini. I can say this is the best laptop speaker I've ever had.

14 in con.... Surprise, the notch. I love the notch on the iPhone but I'm hiding it with the 14 lol using black backgrounds and dark mode. Who knows maybe in a few weeks I'll get used to it. But its no deal breaker. Everything else is great about this laptop.

I'm trading the 16 in and not looking back. Also selling the MBA, so for those still on the fence this is a great update, I'm a fan.

Yeah 14” seems like the perfect size. Especially if you travel. However, as a video editor I just had to get the bigger screen.

Was it ever uncomfortable typing on the 16? I have the Pro 16 and because of its thickness, my wrist is pressed against the front edge. I enjoy the 16's immersive screen and superior battery life but the typing experience is horrendous lol.

I love the 14-inch, perfect blend of practicality and portability for me. Connected to a 34-inch monitor at home, it runs quiet and cool, totally silent. I’ve bought it to replace a 2019 16-inch which I also enjoyed - nice screen size but heavy and less practical to throw in a backpack when on the move. And a noisy fan heater when connected to the monitor at home. So far, loving my new M1 Pro 14-inch.

I love the 14” size but could also see the benefit of the 16” if it is mostly a stationary machine. I just can’t justify the cost increase but the battery life on the 16” is really impressive.

The 16 really great but its a desktop machine. Its a lot to carry in a backpack for me.
