Is it just me or is there more hype for the Mac October event than the iPhone event??

Overall, I’m usually hyped about macs, more than iPhones.
This time, I will be watching (probably afterwards) the event with great enthusiasm, but I know I probably won’t be getting the MacBook Pro. With how powerful are the M1 chips, I’m waiting for the new MacBook Airs with M2 chips, as that power will be more than enough for me.

Please show me two or three 26-30” ~220 ppi monitors besides the LG UltraFine.
Most pro’s working today are working on non-Apple monitors, though. So, in my mind (and probably only my mind) if someone limits themselves to an Apple monitor, it feels more like a choice they wanted to make instead of a requirement.
I think those are it from what I can see. I’m guessing that’s not something that most Pro’s consider valuable? I don’t know.
Pros and non-pro alike are simply looking for a display with a similar resolution to that of the 27” iMac.
It seems like no other monitor manufacturer is willing to develop a 5K display with a ppi equal to that of the iMac. That’s why my hopes lie with Apple.
The hype died for me with the notch news this morning.
You do not like the notch?
From the leaks it seems like the notch comes with a slimmer set of bezels. If all of the leaks are true, we can expect some sort of a breakthrough in the camera component. Perhaps enhanced Centre Stage?
Not a fan of it on a mac, don’t mind it on a iPhone since you never notice it on your phone, you’ll always be looking at it when using your mac, especially when accessing the menu bar and safari address bar. 🤦♂️
Are you running Big Sur? I think its a Big Sur issue as my 2019 i9 iMac and my M1 Mac Mini have the same scenario sometimes. Even switching from one window to another.
i7, 16G, and sometimes it just seems to be brain dead. I'm having problems occasionally with menus in apps too. Another thing is that Mail Rules don't seem to work, so that's a change for the worse. *sigh* But the backspace/delete key thing is driving me kinda nuts. It's like it waits for that last delete until I start tyoing, so I have to either delete and hit space, or arrow over to correct it, and continue. It's annoying when I have to do a lot of typing.
