It isn't a white background.

Sorry, but it shows up as white on white to me (in Camino). :( Just thought you should know. I tried in Safari and it works with it's background image in all it's glory...:D Weird though.

Picture 1.png This is what I see.
Picture 2.png This is it when I've highlighted the text to read it.

Want weird?
The other day this dude I've never met before comes up to me and goes "oh your so and sos friend right?" "I recognized your tattoo from myspace, we have the same taste in music."

Really odd moment for me, though he does seem like a nice guy and I added him my friends list.

In real life or on the internet?

ben... find the context clues dude!

real life

if i'm wrong... muh bad

It's what I thought, but just wanted to be sure.

Wow...that's um, strange.

Anyways, I ended up getting a message from someone I hadn't spoken to since Fifth grade on myspace. Mind you, I'm now a sophomore in college so...

One time I went to click New Messages! and then all the sudden I was on Passion.com with about 3984 pop-unders and then I saw:

I have one too. I hate it though. 99% of people that change the look of their page, make it impossible to read. Like... orange text on a red background with pictures of yellow things or something lame like that.
Too many ads, annoying music, annoying people. But I check it daily. Lame

I like facebook better. Simpler, cleaner, easier to use... it just screams Apple to me, and myspace says.... I was created by someone with a PC. :)

I have just noticed that it has been extremely slow today. Can they please transfer their site over to XServe G5s?

Those machines don't run Windows, so they could transfer it, but it wouldn't run at all. (Some days, it only seems like it's not running.)

My main complaint is that all those flash movies & such make it very slow loading. And having pages that take are 2,000 pixels wide.
Well, with a Mighty Mouse... those are almost fun things to explore! Take a voyage, courteousy of horizontal scrolling! :D  ;)

Myspace is stupid.

Its worse than that.

Its buggy. You can spam peoples email by faking an account for them.... ask me how I know. Hundreds of email a day.

Die MySpace die.

Effen christ, everyone bashes MySpace, as if it raped their mom or sumthin'. Yea there are a lot of annoying people, with crappy HTML everywhere, and body shots showing off stuff most don't care about, but that's the point. It's "MySpace". They can do whatever they want with it. Other than that other crap, it's a cool site, might not be the best, but it's popular, and if done right, it's a nice virtual social medium.

"Yea I hate MySpace, Add Me!" "I didn't want a MySpace page, but my friends forced me!" No one cares, just use the site, your reasoning for joining the site is irrelevent and not needed.

Wow. It's runing Microsoft IIS and it hasn't been hacked yet?

There was a night recently when I got nothing other than "Directory listing denied" and that seemed a good indicator that pretty much everything was gone since it was the www directory.

It is cool when used as a social networking site in order to meet new people and keep up with old friends. It sucks when you get random friends requests (which I usually ignore).. In fact today I went and deleted people who I have no clue who they are or why they are on my friend's list.

That is the only reason I really have a profile on there. Some friends have moved and when I move it seems like the easiest way to keep track of people. It's also fun to add bands and whatnot but I deny so many requests from morons, horrible bands, and porn bots that it makes me want to delete my profile again. I just set my profile to private and to block friend requests from bands so maybe that will help.

I think though that Myspace will eventually collapse, and then we can expect for there to be more Tom clones, and this dumb cycle will repeat itself.

Myspace collapsing would be awful. But only for the simple fact that if it did collapse, it would collapse inward on itself. It would become more dense as the masses of utter crap which reside on the servers continue to pack themselves into a smaller and smaller space, ultimately creating a black hole on the internet. Then nothing would be safe, and the rest of the internet would go hurdling towards the Myspace black hole of death.

J/K. I don't use myspace, but my wife does in order to keep up with her friends. I've told her that I'm just gonna get my own webspace and create my own page.

I noticed today that another movie was being promoted using a MySpace profile. It seems as though the economic opportunities are numerous, if you can get someone to click on them.
