Seems reasonable for Leopard. I had the same (insane) increase in VM size after upgrading...

They must have really changed how leopard manages memory, I have 2gig RAM, am running azerus, safari and mail, and NOTHING else, and have not much free RAM left (about 500mb) and a VM size of about 40gigs. I only have 18gig free on disk!
But everything runs so smoothly I just try to not let it bother me. It's just the way this OS works, every things fast and smooth, if I load another app it loads fast and doesn't seem to mind about the apparent lack of memory.
