Is it my iphone or the zagg protector?

I had the zagg full body installed last friday at best buy and everything was fine until today when I took the iphone out of my pocket. There are some black dots on the screen. I thought I could just wipe it off with some cloth, but wouldn't come off. I am wondering if it is my iphone's screen that is the problem or is it the zagg invisible shield.
