Well, just based on past experience. It's usually around 45-48 degrees when opening multiple tabs and having a few youtube videos loading. But today, with just opening my MBA and having one tab open, no media, for it to be that high seemed a little bit odd (plus I could feel the warmth). I was wondering what everybody else's experience was in terms of the temperature when they do normal browsing tasks.

The SSD is a tiny little circuit board in the middle of the laptop. I doubt you'd be able to feel it if it changed temperature by a few degrees.

Which applications you have open or how many tabs you have open is fairly irrelevant when describing what your computer is doing. You really need to open Activity Monitor to see if the computer is doing something that's utilizing a lot of CPU power.
