is it normal for the mac pro 2010 to chime twice after an update

The last two times I had an update, after shutting down to have the update take effect, the pro would restart, chime, then shut off, then chime again, then reboot, is this normal?

Is this just the mac basically zapping its own pram after an update?

that is normal 🙂 it still installs some extra software after the update, im presuming some soft of firmware upgrade of sorts.
