Is it normal for the space black model order to take months?

I see the silver model listed as ready to ship within 5 days.
However, the space black 32/1000 GB I ordered (in the last seconds before the price change) was first set for August 5th, now it's changed to the 13.. by next week, I'm sure it will change to sometime in September. Is the 14-inch 32/1000 GB in space black a rare and hard model to produce, or something?

I remember last time I ordered an Apple product from another retailer, I waited for months until I decided to cancel and order directly through Apple's website. I think it was the iPad Pro gen 2 or something (2017).

Wow. I ordered my black MBP on June 20 and picked up at store on June 29. On a whim I picked up a third ATV4kethernet and was spared the $100 increase three days later.

The Mac mini M4Pro builds I was configuring at that same time were ~3 months out and I decided to pass.

Just did the same config now, showing "10-12 weeks".

Test out another config and see if that has the same lead time.
