I upgraded yesterday on my iPhone 7, no problem yet. Feel like battery life lasts a bit longer 😀

Notice I said "glaring" bugs.

I guess it depends on what one means by "glaring," but if there are any big bugs in a release Apple will halt rollout of the update and fix the bug. For example, an update that crashes devices. So in my mind, waiting just one or two days is plenty time to give an update before installing. Any 'Safari feels snappier' or 'my battery doesn't last as long' comments from a handful of people are completely subjective and has essentially zero relevance for a decision on whether to update or not.

Why is it not safe at the first place?

If you have some 3rd party adapters (iPhone 7 audio/charging) that are working now....Say goodbye! They will no-longer be supported. Gosh I miss the 3.5mm audio port..
