Like a poster above mentioned when you say you have issues with memory, is it that you are running out of storage space for photos, music, etc.? Can you get away with 64 GB? Honestly if you plan to keep it for a few years the 6 is getting up there in age and while the A8 chip in the 6 is still plenty snappy for everyday tasks I have a feeling that with 1 GB of ram being the new minimum amount of ram supported in iOS 10 the iPhone 6's 1 GB of ram is going to make it feel pokey sooner than you would hope. Just my opinion.
I don't doubt it, I just suspect that iOS 10 will be the last version of iOS that runs decent on devices with 1 GB of RAM.Running iOS 10 beta on my iPhone 6 it's super smooth.
My wife's 6 with ios 8 has the same speed and responsiveness compared to my 6s ios 9. At some occasions, 6/ios 8 even snappier than 6s/ios9.
More details. iPhone 6 is using 8.3 jailbroken, while iPhone 6s use 9.0.2 jailbroken. The responsiveness is on par for both. For some, i.e. Spotlight on 8.3 is snappier than in 9.0.2, for some others (obviously) 6s is faster than 6.I find this really hard to believe
Hey guys,
I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S6, and I've been encountering a few issues with it, especially in regards to memory. I want to buy my first iPhone now, but I'm in a pretty tight budget and can't afford anything too pricey. There is a significant difference between the prices of the 6 and 6s, so I figured I can just buy the 6 but with 128GB, since I always face issues with memory. Is that a bad idea? I know the phone is almost two years old. Please let me know your thoughts as you know way more about iPhones than I do. Thanks!
True, people that don't understand use the term 'memory' synonymously with storage; even though that is not the case. It used to bug me a lot more than it does now, but it is nice to know there are more people than I thought who knew what memory is actually supposed to refer to.128GB is storage not memory! 6S is much better then the 6!
