Is it posable to restore deleted files?

I emptied Trash and a Doc. was accidentally deleted. I found [Retrieve deleted files] software,but the reviews were all bad.

Lots of times, the negative reviews are from people who expect too much of the recovery software. when you empty the trash, the space all the files occupied is released back to the file system pool. If the space formerly occupied by the file you wanted happens to get re-used, no recovery software is going to recover anything.

Time Machine or DropBox, if you're not backing up you'll eventually lose your files one way or another.

If what you lost was important to you, I'd take it in to a professional and have them do it.
