I have a 12" Powerbook G4 (1.33) that I am trying to install Leopard on. Unfortunately, it looks like it has a bad optical drive, and so it won't boot from the leopard dvd. HOWEVER, the Leopard DVD reads fine on my main power mac (733 digital audio), though I didn't run the install because it can't run the new OS, I tried previously when I reformatted it when the computer was given to me.

My question is this: is it possible to start up the Power Mac in Target Disk Mode, connected to the powerbook via firewire, and run the install like that, through the dvd drive on the power mac?
