Other Is it possible to activate third party camera apps with the action button?

Having an older iPhone at the moment and definitely getting the newly released 15 pro max but I am just wondering if anybody knows 3rd party camera apps could be activated by pressing the action button?

The reason being that I don't like to use apple's own camera app because it heavily processes any images taken and thus making them look a bit fake.

I don’t see why not if you can have it run a shortcut, which in turn can open a third party app.
