I have a FiOS wireless connector and it has a random name of letters and numbers and is encrypted with a WEP key. I was wondering how or if I can change the name of the network to say "home" etc. it's not that hard to recognize which is the home network but i was just curious.

Thanks,
HHM

I'm unfamiliar with your hardware, but typically that is something you would do in your router. Look for "Network Name" or "SSID."

You should be able to admin that router through a regular web page. I have dealt with FIOS in the Boston area, and it is a bit of a project to find the right page to change the SSID and WEP/WPA settings. Good luck!
