Is It Possible To Fax From MBA?

If it IS possible, does one need a dial-up connection and, then, how do you connect the MBA to the phone socket? If it makes any difference, I'm in the UK. Be glad of any advice.

Buy the USB modem. You don't need a dial up connection, just a phone line.
