Also you can unpin the dock and turn off magnification if you want. So you can anchor it ala windows Nazi style in the lower left hand of your desktop. That should stop all your movement.
I'm not a taskbar fanatic or anything, plenty of room for improvement in there. I especially hate the way everything and the kitchen sink gets thrown into the system tray on the windows taskbar. I just think that the taskbar does a few things well. The biggest is that my quicklaunch applications are in the same place no matter how many open applications I'm running.
I didn't know that you could unpin the dock. How do you do this?
I actually like the magnification feature, as long as it is on one of the smaller settings.
One more question about the dock please. If I have a program open, but I've closed all the windows, the application still shows up in the "open applications" part of the dock. But if I click on it it doesn't automatically open a new window of the application. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help.
