If I go to Starbucks or Whole Foods for a quick trip, would Apple Watch allow me to leave my iPhone at home?

Phone calls and texting has to be an absolute must obviously. Apple pay, email, and facebook would be appreciated lol.

If you live next door to Whole Foods you might could or if you leave the phone in the car and it's parked right out front it would work.

Apple Pay works without the phone.

You'd still need the phone for the other stuff, though.

The Watch can connect to wifi and do things like voice calls (just like how you can take voice calls on your computer), but it has to be a known network, and (I think) not require a login screen.
