Is it possible to plug an external processor into an iMac?

Is it possible to plug an external processor, like a MacPro, into an iMac?

Via LAN maybe, as a render client.

Why would you wanna do this?

I mean, the MacPro is more powerful than the iMac, so why not use the MacPro?

Well it's a temporary solution to a problem I have. I'm trying to capture video via capture card for video projects, but most HD cards at a reasonable price are internal. An internal card won't work with my iMac, because there is no place to put it, so the idea of getting a cheap processor would solve the problem if I was able to connect it to the iMac somehow.

why would you not just use a video camera? Then import it into your iMac?
