I just got a new mac, but I don't want to transfer my ipod music to the harddrive or any other harddrive for that matter. But I would like be able to use the apple remote control to control my library from afar... the problem is itunes doesn't recognize ipod music as part of its library unless i rip it to a harddrive. Is there anyway to make itunes recognize music from an ipod as part of its library?

to give you an answer, yes there is a way, you have to get a program that allows you to do it.

But i'm sorry, i've never used one of those so i don't have a link to one, i've only ever seen it done by other people 🙁

Well, Senuti has the same interface as iTunes and can treat the iPod as a useable library. I don't know if it'll work with the Apple Remote though...

the only reason i want it though is for apple remote integration. its not a big deal, but would be swell if i can find the program or some kind soul could direct me 😉
