Hi there..
I'm one of those who are sensitive to OLED pwm and caused me nausea and headache ..
I'm looking for a way to replace the screen with a flicker free LCD .. is it possible ?
Do you know any place to do it ?
P.S: I don't care about warranty issues if the replacement helps my eyes and head relief

I've seen these before on iPhones repaired by third parties.

Also, iFixit offers at least one option for the iPhone X:

So, they are available and this is possible, but it's not without risk and has the potential of making certain features unusable.

Didn’t know that. Great find. They also sell LCDs for the XS and 11pro

The irony is an aftermarket LCD could still be using PWM.

I would be equally curious to see how third-party OLED displays fare in comparison, although personally I wouldn’t go to the trouble of swapping out the display.

Why not just sell your iPhone 12 and get iPhone 11 instead or even SE2020? Somebody could really enjoy your unaltered 12 and you may not lose any money on the swap either.

As a repair technician, I would not recommend an LCD replacement on an OLED based iPhone. Their display voltage IC chips would likely constantly demand full power because on LCD's all pixels need to be on in order to work, where as OLED panels do not. I remember when X's first got LCD screens and we had a few customers with blown IC chips. Go for an 11 or SE... unless you want to be using a ticking time bomb.

Some of 3rd party displays will be LCD. Well for the 11 & X models they were.
