replace just one key of my blackbook without disassembling the whole unit??

my space bar is broken so i think i could buy one of the keyboards that are sold on ebay and replace the key by myself

thanks😀

no need to disassemble, afaik, but better yet, head to the closest apple store and they probably will just replace it with an extra key if they have one.

My "K" key was kinda messed up, and I took it to the Apple store. They have a keyboard sent to them by Apple, and they take off individual keys that need to be replaced in peoples computers. It was way cool, and only took about 2-3 minutes! Even if you don't have warranty, I think they will cover it.

thanks for the replies, unfortunately my nearest apple store is 3 hours away from here, but its good to know that I can replace them by myself 😀

so should I just lift the keys until they come off??
