At this moment I am running my iTunes from an external hard drive.

All I did was copy the iTunes file directory off of my iMac hard drive and to the external. iTunes is pointed to the external drive structure.

Then I thought...

Could I just do the same thing by copying my entire iTunes file folder to a cloud service? Box.com would give me 1,000GB storage space at $15 per month. Haven't priced other plans, but that's not a bad price.

I take it, once I move my music library folder to the cloud, all my devices can easily access it. Yes?

Im not sure if your cloud solution like Box.com, Dropbox or whatever works. Have you already tried iTunes Match? I think it does what you want and would be less expensive.
