Hi, on my pc i use gmail to mange my work emails (name@companyname.com). I have my works emails routed and managed from gmail. It allows me to use gmail to manage my emails and it even allows me to send emails from gmail as my work email address.

I also have another gmail account (name@gmail.com) which is my personal email address

However, on my iphone, i have the 2 gmail accounts set up on my phone. This all works prefect but i have one slight small problem. When i go to compose an email from my work gmail account... i have no way of actually sending the email from my actual work address, instead i have to use the actual gmail address (account) that i have my work emails routed through)

This might all sound a little confusing but i'm sure there is a few people who understand what i am explaining... can anyone suggest how i could get around this (without having to move away from gmail for my work emails)

thanks in advance

The only way I know to change the "sender" or the sending account is to have that work account on your phone as well. However it will likely use your work servers and not gmail's servers. Maybe I am wrong or not understanding.

As I understand your work e-mails auto forward to gmail. From a desktop you can use a "reply from" address, which is your work e-mail account though the message was retrieved via gmail. So again, I'd venture to guess that much like me and my three accounts on my phone, adding the work account will allow you to choose that account to send from if you click on that field.

Your first sentence is really just circular talk. ;)

Thanks for the replies, but if i don't use gmail to manage my work account on my phone, then when i move to my PC, my gmail account won't be synced.

If i use the mobile web version then i will not get any notification when i receive emails and it lacks other functionality also, thanks again
