Here's the scenerio:

My friends daughter has a touch that was stolen by a "friend." Turns out she got the iPod back but the girl put a pass code on it. The girl says she forgets the pass code and isn't cooperating. That's all a big mess and parents/authorities are dealing with her.

I'm just trying to help my friends daughter to possible save some photos
that she took from a summer vacation that she just came back from. They may already be gone but if we restore to get the iPod back so she can sync we'll lose everything if it happens to still have the photos on it.

So...can you get past a password protected ipod without restoring?

Thanks for any help

That's what I thought...was hoping for some kind of work around that
maybe I wasn't aware of. I feel bad for the girl. Thanks for the reply.
