Before I upgraded to Mojave 10.14.2 I used El Crapitan 10.11.6. There, I was able to turn off the feature where the OS keeps track of saved versions of documents, so most apps that create documents have a "File > Revert To > Browse All Versions" menu item.

This feature seem to be removed from Mojave. I was not able to find any info on whether this can be turned off in Mojave.

I don't like this feature and was wondering if anyone knows a way to turn it off?

Thanks.

Doesn't that interface with Time Machine? So turning off Time Machine might turn that off?

Version History exists separately from Time Machine. Time Machine of course also keeps version history, but that's different.

Out of curiosity, why? Both why you don't like it, and why you want to disable it even if you don't like it.

Anyways, here's a link

IOSmit's answer is quite good I think
