Is it possible to UPDATE from iOS 6 to 7?

Or the only way to go is to do a full restore?

Other things i've picked up from other threads:

1- You won't be able to "Sync" or "restore your iPhone from a backup" unless you have iTunes 11.1.

2- You can however Restore from an iCloud backup.

3- You can Restore and Update using the current iTunes.
