Sorry if this sounds complicated but what I want to do is use the gps on my 3g to provide gps data to my Nikon DSLR for geotagging. I can purchase a bluetooth receiver that plugs into the camera, but can I pair this receiver to my 3g to get the data?

LOL, This is Apple you're talking about. You can't even use bluetooth to swap contacts.

The easy way to know if anything will work with the iPhone is to use the rule of thumb below.

Q. Is it going to be useful?

If the answer to the above is YES, then NO you cannot do it.

I'm sure it's technically possible with a JB phone but I don't know if anyone has written an App to do it.

You are absolutely, 100% positively correct. The useful test - quite true.

/waits for apple apologists.
