Would it be helpful to list the sales and TV shows separate from Mac rumors and Mac news?

In my opinion, it would be much better if MR linked to the original rumor information and post only what is new or known about the newly released beta.

I think too much front page space is being wasted with all the cut and paste articles.
100% agree.

I also wish they would use a half-column for some of the images and wrap the text. Do I really need a 700px tall image of a series of GaN chargers? :)

I want everything in one place. If certain topics bother you, you can use the ignore feature for those forums.
The ignore feature doesn't work on the main newsfeed. I think Promostyle is referring to that part of the site, not the actual forums. But the sales stuff is here to stay, it is in part how the site gets funded.

And I couldn't agree more that the entertainment stuff needs to go. I could care less about Apple TV programming. Annoying to the extreme.

Maybe macdeals.com and mactvshows.com were both taken, but what what do ya'll think about this?

MR is a commercial site that operates on views. Like anyone I'd assume they'll put up interesting or controversial stories that involve Apple, peers/revials or general germane tech.

There's a lot of threads and a lot of user posting. The ignore thread is, IMHO, a useful filtering tool to customize and focus the content for your own interests.

Didn't know that about ignore and the main newsfeed. Thanks for the info...
