I found some sellers on eBay selling the new Macbook Pro today. do you think it's safe to buy from them or what may be the disadvantages or risks? I don't always buy electronic stuff from eBay but this time I may consider so what do you think?

My opinion: Buy your new MacBook Pro from Apple or from an authorized Apple Dealer such as B&H Photo in NY. Why take a chance on getting ripped off by some eBay seller and having to put up with trying to get a refund thru PayPal?

Agreed. eBay has really become a nightmare with Fraud. B&H Photo was a good suggestion.

It's relatively safe (always check the seller's ratings and read the fine print – also, Apple warranties are locked in their system to their products, so unlike some companies they tend to honour that even if you didn't buy from a retailer), but it's still one of the less safe places you could try online by comparison to other common suspects.

And for the new MacBook Pro with relatively high demand, I'd be surprised if you saved very much at this time. The small difference could be worth avoiding the small points of uncertainty.

Generally eBay is safer when using common sense. Someone selling the brand new MBP for discount already is the biggest red flag. Link us.

It's not really discounted. Its a bit more than the market price but I need it soon that's why I am trying to figure out how can I get it soon because other sites don't seem to sell it soon they are all still on pre order
