I just downloaded the iOS update in probably under 15 mins or so? I am yet to actually update the software as I'm not sure if the activation server is still overloaded.

thanks, any others?

Downloading the Update for my iPad 2, which is the biggest. Got 19 minutes left, started at 20, if your on iPhone mine downloaded in 15 min, iPod touch in 13. Downloads are now fine, I'll give you an update on the activation servers in 18 min.

EDIT: The downloads are maxing my bandwidth.. (740KB/s) So if you have faster internet (mines 5.4mbps) it will be faster.

Update: Looks like it went to 22 Minutes.. May be my Internet though..

In the process of updating to iOS5 now, it all seems to be going good so far.

I'll let you know how it went in 6 minutes.

I tried with my ipad2 yesterday and it asked me to back up and I don't have space on my MacBook. Can I not upgrade without back up. Also I am thinking of upgrading a few days later so that I don't get error. Would waiting 2-3 days be a good idea.
