Hi, I would like to update my early 2008 MacBook Pro 2.4 GHz (MB133) to 10.5.6, from 10.5.5. I read there were some difficulties with it, especially regarding Timemachine, which I am using.

I updated 4 systems with no problems. For safety's sake you could make a SuperDuper! or CCC bootable image copy on an external before you attempt the update. That way you have the ability to revert back if you want to.

I updated my MacBook Pro (Late 2008) from Mac OS X 10.5.5 that shipped with the computer to Mac OS X 10.5.6 using Software Update without any issues, it's been quite flawless. Time Machine and MobileMe synchronization is working perfectly, and I haven't had any hiccups.
