Yes, but do you have a reference for what vulnerability it fixes? It's a critical security update
Apple doesn’t release the specifics of security patches till later after enough people have had the chance to update. They don’t want to make the exploit more widespread by giving it publicly. I don’t want to risk leaving my information vulnerable to any exploit but to each their ownYes, but do you have a reference for what vulnerability it fixes?
Oh stop it, that doesn't help you, watching TikTok. Just an addictive service that rots your brain.I've been noticing a couple of TikTokers warning about this update as something you need to avoid. Any info on that here?

I'm not a "ticktoker", but it borked my M1 Max Studio... worked with Apple support and their advice? "Just wait for the next full update".
Again, I’ve never seen any substantial description of any problem, and admittedly, I don’t understand what exactly it means that you’re Mac has been borked.
However, have you tried to uninstall the update, which - unlike normal updates - is possible?
I had a bad experience with that RSR update on my M2 MBA. Issue solved via creating a new admin user, which allowed installation. Apple Care expert thought it was due to anti-virus or VPN software, but nothing like that was installed. The cause remains unknown, but after creating that new admin User, the RSR (Rabid Security Response) installed easily, and after deleting that User account, everything was OK on the original account too. Worth a try!I'm not a "ticktoker", but it borked my M1 Max Studio... worked with Apple support and their advice? "Just wait for the next full update".
it's a security update - maybe your "Tiktokers" know the vulnerability and don't want you to apply it, so they can continue hacking or whatever???I've been noticing a couple of TikTokers warning about this update as something you need to avoid. Any info on that here?
Back in the '50s, everyone at Apple knew everything about every patch, down to the janitor. It would hang at the boot screen. I could only log in past that point in safe mode. I did back this security “fix” out, and I can now use my computer. I subsequently contacted Apple support who had no clue about the security patch or the ability to back it out. This ain’t your father’s Apple.
I'm pretty sure Apple wasn't even a twinkling in the Steves eyes back in the '50s.Back in the '50s, everyone at Apple knew everything about every patch, down to the janitor.
