Is it safe to update with a jailbroken device?
umm I will tell you in 2 minutes and 15s 14s 13s........
It should be. I don't recall iTunes having problems with jailbroken iDevices in the past, but I might be wrong.
lol okay thanks. Mine just finished downloading now, so hope to hear from ya soon
it just finished downloading for me too....scared haha.
yeah but it may say Ipod os not compatible update to 4.0.2
lol your pretty brave to try it out
just synced sunked it whatever.... and it is fine
How are you guys downloading iTunes 10? The link for me still says version 9.2.1.
So its just s stupid splash warning? Nothing serious?
Yeah....no i have a backup of itunes 9.2.1 so i can always downgrade... hopefully
well that doesn't matter anymore because you said it went over fine
I LOVE that comment up there. It should be... I might be wrong. Gotta love forums where people don't test anything they just guess, and add to the bloat of a thread.
Never update any programs until the dev team comments on potential issues.
Couple of tweets here from CHPWN:
"STOP ASKING iTUNES 10 IS FINE"
"(and, if there do end up being any hidden issues with iTunes 10, we'll fix them, so it's not really an issue.)"
So there you go guys, update away
Another one from Musclenerd of the iPhone Dev Team:
"iTunes 10 is safe for JBers+unlockers: DFU mode, syncing, selecting IPSW, all okay (Stay away from 4.1 next week though!)"
I notice attempting to manage Apps in the iPhone menu will crash this release for me. My guess is that Infinifolders is causing the crash, but I'm both too tired and too indifferent to test that theory out at this particular moment.
same thing here, only...i don't have infinifolders installed. so...
Nope my iPhone 4 caught fire because it's jailbroken on 4.0.1
Anyways, everything works fine I just finished syncing with iTunes 10.
