Is it safe to use Non-Magsafe Card Case on iPhone 12s

Apple claims the MagSafe leather card wallet is shielded to prevent de-magnetizing.
However, I'm wondering if is it safe to use a Non-MagSafe card case (that is not shielded) on the new phones (such as dockem wallet case) ?
(even though most credit cards now have chips and tap-to-pay for payments.)

I have used a Scooch Wingmate case for a few days and my cards work fine. Modern cards don’t have this problem.
