iPhone 8(+) Is it safe to use the iPhone 8 in the rain?

    Like drizzle. I was going to go for a walk with my rain jacket.

    I wouldn’t be too scrared to wash it in the sink, but that’s just me. I’ve been using a waterproof S7 for years, never had a water problem. Tests have shown that despite the more conservative ratings, the iPhones are more water proof than the Samsung phones.

    This is day to day life in the PNW. . . I have yet to have a problem with my iPhone X or my iPhone 7 Plus prior to.

    Yes, just don't leave it in 3 feet of water for more than a few minutes.

    I used to do this with my 5S. I'm sure your 8 is just fine.

    Except that some phones might have manufacturing defects like yellow screen, bad mic, bad seal, etc. No way to know if it the water resistance is up to spec or not. I wouldn't risk it.

    Just watch some tests people have been doing for the last few years. iPhone outlived many competitors even in deep water
