I can't believe it's so difficult to find this, but does anyone know of a good, simple polycarbone case for iPhone 5? I just want something that's basically the same thing as the back of the new 5c that I can use to protect my iPhone 5.

The CandyShell is almost exactly it, except it has awful colors and square edges for some reason. http://www.speckproducts.com/iphone-case/iphone-5-cases/candyshell-for-iphone-5.html

The CandyShell Grip feels great in the hands but I hate those dumb grip lines. Does anyone make this case without the grips? http://www.speckproducts.com/iphone-case/iphone-5-cases/candyshell-grip-for-iphone-5.html

what do you mean by square edges? i have one, so i dont quite understand how they're "square". also, the white and black ones dont look too bad imo.

anyway, this is the closest thing(if not pretty much the same concept) to the candyshell that ive found: http://www.capdase.com/minisite/iphone/en/inner5.php?cc=80&c1=95&c2=338&c3=338&id=2064 looks sleeker too. i had one of these for my galaxy s2 and the quality and feel is great.

this one too:

Wow those really are some terrible color choices lol. Go with the Spigen Tough Armor from Amazon. Ive used over 20 cases in my day and this is the best Ive used, its not big really either.

you criticized, yet didnt even read the initial post lol. the guy is looking for a case which has a similar (glossy polycarbonate) back as the 5C, and he already said he wants something like the candyshell. the tough armor is not even close.

Why not get a cheap Replicase?

These were my favorite cases to use with a 4/4S.

If you have the space gray iPhone, the black Caudabd Perimetric is awesome. It's a TPU case with a polycarbonate ring so it's thinner than the Candyshell. Looks are lower profile but sleeker in my opinion. Here's the link on Amazon.

what do you mean by square edges?

He means where the sides of the phone meet the back of the phone. That sharp edge where those two faces join each other.

If that's what you're looking for, I suggest you buy a 5C or deal with the CandyShell Grip. You won't find a good quality case that fits your criteria for an iPhone 5/5S.

Yes, you're the only one who interpreted me correctly! Apparently it just doesn't exist. I don't understand why theres a seeming aversion to simple, good looking and well-made cases but oh well. Guess I'll stick it out with the candy shell.

You know...I thought I understood what you meant, but not until you replied did I totally get it.

The only ones I've seen that are closer to what you're describing now are battery cases like the Mophie...with the rounded edges. Nothing else though...everything follows the design language of the phone too closely. Not even any of the aluminum ones really do it either (or the knockoffs at least from Caseswill.com). Hmm.
