Is it the iPhone 8 or the iPhone 7S that is coming out?

I think we are going to see an iPhone 7E before we get an iPhone 8.

iPhone 8 Longer Battery life is great, but is this referring to this year's (2017) model? Shouldn't the iPhone 7S be coming out this year which could be not so exciting and we have to wait until 2018 to see real enhancements? If it is the iPhone 8 thats getting it, that means 2 years ago... enticing those with iPhone 7 to upgrade... it sounds like it makes little sense. So those with older iPhone 6 should wait 4 years?

Because the rumors are that iPhone 8 might be what at least one of the models coming out this year will be called. Who knows.

I look at the rumor mill, macrumors, and see a lot of buzz around no physical home button, OLED, etc. surrounding iPhone 8, though there are also references to 7S. What is actually coming out this year? Is it this year's iPhone that will have all these things?

Haha all you guys are so funny! Why bother thinking what apple will do to the next iphone. Sound almost like it is too important to talk abt it. Just kick back n relax. I'm sure you'll buy them if you like it n hv the cash. Or your current iphone is still good enough for use. I changed my iphone in 3 years interval.

I have been a loyal and happy BB user for many years but my current Z30 needs replacement. With the demise of BB OS10 and the fact that I do not like the BB/Android OS( had a BB PRIV briefly), I am moving to an iPhone. I need a proven design and the reliability that comes it with so I will purchase a 7+ or wait to see if the rumoured 7S+ offers features I would value. Adopting the new form factor iPhone "8" in its first iteration is a bit risky i.e. curved OLED screen, iris or retinal scan, no physical buttons etc...well, I would like to see how those features will fare in the real world before I would buy.
