There is a big discount on Xs max 256gb. Kinda tempted to get this last-gem phone. Are there big differences from 11pro (max)?

Battery life and camera are the biggest upgrades. What's the price you are being offered? Just depends on how much it is.

People have been saying battery life on the 11 Pro Max has been insanely awesome.

Even the 11 Pro has a big improvement over the Xs.

Using 7 currently. Looking for a decent upgrade. US$987 for 256g

Having owned both, I would say that the XS Max would be a worthwhile purchase. Coming from the 7 will be a huge leap whereas going from XS Max to 11 Pro Max is just incremental.

This. I have both XS Max as work phone and 11 pro Max for personal. They are incredibly similar not a bit upgrade. I actually felt pictures were more consistently good with the XS Max. But that could be user error.

It will be a huge upgrade regardless of what one you get, although if I was spending that much already still I would just pay more and get 11 Pro Max because I’d want that much better battery life.

The intel modem sucks big time, but that's pretty much my only complaint.... I skipped the 11 pro max because it still uses intel.

If I didn’t have any flagship iPhone right now I wouldn’t even think of the xs max knowing the major improvements on the 11 pros especially the max. Xs max battery 3174 mah. 11
pro max battery 3969 mah. the savings is not worth it Imho

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to put this out there:

Best Buy is offering new, not refurbished, Max’s for big discounts if you’re upgrading on Verizon or AT&T. We got the 512gb Max for $849+tax and activation each (bought two). That’s on twenty four monthly payments of just over $35 each and no early payoff penalty.

And they fixed the modem issue a few updates ago. It’s my favorite out of my passed phones.

I also just picked one up. A coworker had a flawless 256 gig with screen protector and case since day 1 and 92% battery. Offered it to me for $500. I have been concerned about the battery comments, but used an older 7 plus for quite awhile. If I don't like it, I can sale it locally for more than $500.
