Talking about the 512 GB and 1 TB iPad Pro or is there better easier ways to do it that are just as portable ?

You can put content on external storage and access it over USB-C or in the cloud but is that better or easier? Subjective question. I prefer to have what I want often local as I don't want to always have to carry the external storage and I travel a lot to areas with poor or no Internet access so I don't use the cloud.

I've enjoyed it. I originally got the 1TB because I promised myself when I got a new one, I would go big, since we didn't have the option of external storage really on the horizon in the manner we do now. I also wanted it in case of the increased ram would be of use in some art programs.

Now that I have it, with 40 movies, seasons of Rick & Morty, Killjoys, Happy, Young Justice, Firefly, Cowboy Bebop, Deadly Class, Better Off Ted, American Gods, and yet more, 300 comic books, books & manuals, music, and graphic files. I still haven't hit halfway on the storage.

Yes, it's overkill. 🤪

Cloud provide additional benefits: can get access from other devices, easy to share with others, and safety (in case its stolen). So, it depends on your location and internet cost. If your location is easy to get online and fast internet, why not just go cloud?

I have my music collection (350GB) and lots of work files in the cloud. Happy camper with my 64GB. Even if I would effectively go camping off-grid somewhere, I could put some important stuff on the local storage and live out of that for some time.

I have a 512gb 2017 iPad Pro, I keep all my content on the iPad (with the exception of photos and some videos in the cloud). I like having my TV shows and movies on my iPad when I want them.
If I upgrade to the next iPad Pro I will probably get the 1TB version. It will be great for creating videos, editing photos and keeping all my content on.

For me yes, granted I only have 128GB, so I only have books on the iPad. I also carry a 64GB iPhone filled with some movies and music since I split my content between the two devices so I can have more space (I always carry both devices with me everywhere). In the future, I'd like to upgrade to 512GB or 1TB so I can truly carry everything in my iPad.

It's convenient to have everything with you, especially in places where you don't have access to internet connections such as in hospitals, airplanes or having limited phone data plan. I prefer not to carry external drives due to battery drain and the inconvenience of having to plug in the drive when i want something.

I have several terabytes available multiple on line storage accounts, but I still keep most of my good stuff on my iPad. My iPad goes everywhere with me all around the world and I like to have extensive business files, financial records, technical manuals, music and book libraries, manuscripts published and in progress, and much more material I enjoy. Right now it all fits on a 512gb Pro and is readily available without the need for the internet.

I choked at paying for the 1 tb version but will definitely get the maximum available when I upgrade in a few years.

Well, for me.. some stuff I prefer locally whereas some stuff I have in the cloud. It just depends. I had a 512GB iPad Pro 2nd generation. And I realized that I didn’t not need that much going forward.

I decided on the 256GB storage iPad Pro this time around, I do have a 128GB flash drive if I ever need additional storage. As @Retops mention... my iPad goes with me everywhere I go, the benefits of the cellular model.. I rarely leave it home.
