I believe it is. I did mine in November of last year when i got it. I haven't looked back since. But when i get the new iphone I'm gonna leave it alone.

It really just adds more features to it. Before the update that allowed the Iphone apps on the ipod touch it did allow the ipod touch to gain some iphone functionality.

right now I wouldnt bother! you are just going to have to restore it later anyway if you want to upgrade to 2.0...

just wait for the update to come out...
and get legit 3rd party apps

Yeah you are right i didn't think of that.

So Vampires I say you hold off on jailbreaking and just wait for the 2.0 update.

july 11th. Thats the date right now.

Jailbreaking your touch is very easy. And you get alot of "ooh cool".
