I switched from Verizon to AT&T yesterday. The coverage seems to be very comparable, although I don't get signal in my basement, but I did with my Verizon phone. Which sucks because I was in my basement a majority of the time.

If the iPhone ever does come out for Verizon, I can guarantee I'll switch back.

Even then, its not definite its going to happen. For all we know, they could sign another contract with AT&T.


Either way, right now I still have an iPhone, if I decide to keep it.

Switching to the iPhone is not worth it. I don't think AT&T is too bad (IMO)

Go to WalMart, purchase an AT&T go phone. Go to the places you need to make calls and test it out.

It'll cost you far less money to do this than the aggravation you'll experience if you switch and find out the coverage isn't what you need and have to switch back.

FYI in my area in Philadelphia Verizon and Sprint have it all over At&t my phone literally goes dead in my work which NEVER happened on either of the other providers. At&t absolutely sucks here. It's great outside, but in my office and in my home it can't even pick up signals. At&t seems to have nonexistent penetration 🙁

whats the cheapest non contract phone you can buy in at&t I might pick one up for when I am in the US again.

Coverage very much depends on your area of the country. Best bet is to ask people from your area and the areas you travel to.

how do i sign an attt contract? i am in the middle of my verizon one, therefore do i have to pay the money to terminate the contract for the swithchover or will i not have to pay the fee per line?

You'll have to pay the Early Termination Fee (EFT) in order to port your number to AT&T
