MacMini 2010 with base 4GB (which I am thinking to upgrade to 8) and spinning HD (which also might become an SSD), usage is as a LossLess music server, no real need to upgrade from HighSierra unless newer OS requires less system resources/uses resources better, what wold your advise be, let it all as it is or try and upgrade to a more recent release?

Grazie

I don't care about the browser, my only worry is about a software to play FLAC audio files, should it ever need an upgraded OS

You'll be fine. The underlying FLAC format is very unlikely to change, and even if it did, since it's open source there are no hard OS limitations.

I just meant that should the software I use or plan to use (like Vox or Audirvana) upgrade and require a newer Os I might end in trouble.
